Barkston Ash Catholic Primary School

Parents

"Parents say that they know that their children are in safe hands in school and praise the work that the school does to maintain a strong, caring ethos. Pupils feel safe in school and are confident that they will be supported if they ever have any worries.'"(OFSTED – December 2018)

“Parents speak highly of the school and feel privileged to be part of the ‘wonderful community’” (S48 Inspection Report – June 2016).

At Barkston Ash, we work hard to build a strong school community, developed on firm foundations of all parties working together to secure the best possible education for our children.  The partnership between school and parents is critical in supporting each individual child to reach their full potential. We recognise that parents are the primary educators of their children and know the importance of nurturing positive, supportive relationships between home and school.  Communication is essential and parents are regularly informed as to how their child is achieving and developing. We have an open-door policy whereby teaching staff are on the playground every morning and evening, providing instant opportunities for communication with parents.

Our parents are highly valued and we enjoy welcoming them into school to attend events and share in their child's learning and achievements.
