Barkston Ash Catholic Primary School

Barkston Ash Catholic Primary School has been named in the top 250 schools in the country in The Times newspaper! Well done, everyone!

Have a look at some pictures of the fantastic work we have been doing so far...

In history, we have been learning about the Stone to Iron Ages. One of our lessons was identifying the diet of some Stone Age peoples. We then compared how these changed from what we know of at the Start of the Stone Age and what evidence has been found towards the end of the Stone Age.

In science, we have been learning about magnets, why some materials are magnetic and whether the size of a magnet determines how strong it is.

We have been really lucky this term to have a peripatetic music teacher in to teach us how to begin to play the violin and cello!

Our democratically elected school councillors for this year are Dominic and Edward! Well done boys! Dom and Edward will be listening to any suggestions or ideas that children in Class 3 have that they would like to be discussed in school council meetings. They will work hard to make sure that the voices of children in the class are heard.
